The modalities to implement one of the most innovative initiatives of the community project "Marinas" are defined.
Promotional material about territory is to be distributed to nautical tourists: not only paper but also on readers like "iPod" to be hired at the nautical associations: these are the latest actions of the community project "Marinas" which aims to build a network of public and private stakeholders to promote the Adriatic Sea as a "sea of union and continuity."
The technical details of the initiative were discussed last week in San Benedetto del Tronto, at the head office of the Club Nautico Sambenedettese, a technical meeting sponsored by the province of Ascoli Piceno, a partner of the project, which involved Alderman Policies Community Nino Capriotti, the manager of Service Giampaolo Emidio Paoletti, the chairman of the Circolo Nautico Paul Tartaglini, the head of Europe Province Lorella Bovara, Maria Cristina Vennera in the province of Ancona, the director of Piceno Development Giorgio Rocchi. At the meeting there were associations who deal with Piceno ports to share information materials and enabling sea tourists full use of integrated tourism routes.
"Marinas" is a project of a specific segment of tourism: nautical tourism and cruise; it is designed to create a sea-integrated tourism hinterland through the identification of routes which, starting from the sea, link to historical-cultural, culinary and folkloric items of Piceno territory.
The Province of Ancona is the responsible of the project and the initiative involves the provinces of Ascoli Piceno, Venice, Teramo and Lecce, the Chamber of Commerce of Ancona, the Development Agency Marche SVIM, the Regional Council of Durres (Albania), the municipality Bar (Montenegro), the Chamber of Commerce of Uzice (Serbia) and the County Dalmatica Split (Croatia).
Among the already developed actions by the Picena Province there are the identification of paths that start from the two main ports of the territory: San Benedetto del Tronto and Porto San Giorgio.
