Regional Chamber of Commerce of UziceMarinas (Modelling Adriatic Routes - Integrating Networks and Areas in the Adriatic Sea - Strategies for Integrated Tourism in the Adriatic) is a project financed with the community funds of the Interreg-Cards-Phare New Adriatic Local Program.
The Province of Ancona is the institution promoting the project which involves in Italy the provinces of Ascoli Piceno, Venezia, Teramo and Lecce, the municipalities of Monte San Vito and Morro d'Alba, the Chamber of Commerce of Ancona and the Sviluppo Marche Agency Svim.
On the other side of the Adriatic sea, the regional council of Durazzo (Albania), the municipality of Bar (Montenegro), the Chamber of Commerce of Uzice (Serbia) and the county of Split and Dalmatia (Croatia) are involved.
Marinas’goal is to build a network of public and private subjects promoting the Adriatic sea as the sea of union and continuity according to a philosophy of promotion of the integrated Adriatic area.
The project will lead to the tourism section growth and qualification, with special reference to theme travels, through the creation of an integrated tourist offer able to show the historical, cultural, economic and social complexity of the territories.
The involvement of the institutions, the operators and the territories will allow to structure an innovative segment of tourist offer destined to reinforce and qualify the local systems, the tourist operators, the public administration (innovative, qualified and modern services allocation to the territory) and the small medium enterprises with tourist vocation.
The final addressees of the initiative are the travelers sensible to a form of motivation tourism rather than a destination one with reference to yachtsmen and passengers on cruises and on ferry boats.
The project started its activities in January 2007 and will end in May 2008.
