Uzice region is situated in south western Serbia.
The most famous tourist destinations are mountains of Zlatibor, Tara and Zlatar. There are numerous cultural, rural, eco and sports events as well as well-known tourist attractions.
Zlatibor is an exceptionally beautiful mountain, with a pleasant climate. Zlatibor has developed into a leading destination of mountain tourism in Serbia. This mountain offers remarkable options for outdoor activities, from leisure and hiking to serious mountaineering ventures. Equally popular is biking, either in the town area or through the natural landscape. The center of mountain is next to small lake, a place to take refreshing swim in the summer and natural skating field in the winter. There are wooden kiosks lined up along the lake shore with shops, caffes and restaurantes, ending with town`s bus station. It is a main point for dayly activities and nigh life. There are many places for accomodation and big hotels all around the lake, especially private boarding houses and hospitality is in mentality of the people.
Tara is a wild and unexplored mountain along the Drina river and this area is one of the last oases of coniferous trees and a great number of significant species such as chamois bear, wolf, eagle... It is excellent for riding horses, picking mushrooms and having a lot of the trainings for ecological purpose.
Mountain Zlatar is situated among the rivres of Lim, Uvac, Milesevka and Bistrica. This mountain has fragrant meadows and clear lakes surrounded by spruces and birches, a mixture of the Mediterranean and mountainous climate, fresh air enriched by turpentine and ozone.

Tourism in the villages and on farms has been developed throughout this region for many years so it is a traditional part of the regional toursit offer. People can rest in mountain villages, enjoy fresh and home-made food, nice air or they can go swimming and fishing and stay near the Drina river or in the old water mills near Kosjeric which is a very original and unique way of spending a holiday.
Another tourist attraction in the region is a narrow railway line in the form of number 8 which is a part of the old railway line Uzice - Sarajevo, so called “Sargan eight”. It is a unique considering the starting and final terminal.
