The territory of the province of Venice
A binomial in which the discovery of a rigorous nature mixes with the possibility to get in touch with some of the most important artistic witnesses of the world; a place where the dialogue between man and nature has strongly marked the landscape, fully respecting the equilibrium of a fragile ecosystem. Around Venice, queen of the Adriatic, there is a suggestive territory, where hidden masterpieces live in the shade of the great civilisation of the Serenissima.
Surfing along the lagoon, through pacific and unpolluted nature, one meets small jewels: Burano, Murano or Torcello. Places where it is possible to forget the turmoil of the surrounding life and to find the intact environment of a marvellous Venice mentioned by Goldoni in his unforgettable comedies. Caorle, an elegant seaside centre near the sea, is surrounded by a lagoon, the ideal refugee for those who love silence, the rustling of the wind and the singing of birds: marvellous sheets of water broken by reed thickets or the maze of canals, where one can see straw and clay huts, the old dwellings of fishermen.. Bibione lies a little further, know for its prestigious thermal cures.
Towards the hinterland, one can find the many and various opportunities that this territory offers.
The flow of rivers Livenza and Lemene, which are nearly always placid and full of water, creates specific morphological conditions, with hollows, pleasant bights and very beautiful meanders. Along the Brenta, arm of the Lagoon, there is the wealthy civilization of Villa Veneta, witnessed by the extraordinary villas along the coast.
The archaeological aspect in this area is very interesting due to the Altino area and the Concordia Sagittaria. Those who love the sea and relaxation can find here some of the best seaside resorts of the Adriatic, such as that of Eraclea, Jesolo and Cavallino.
